Do you Need a Licence
for a Cherry Picker?

If you are operating a machine weighing under 3.5 tonnes, a valid, full UK driving licence is sufficient. For larger machines an IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) training course must be undertaken and the operator must be in possession of the appropriate PAL (Powered Access Licence) card. Alternatively, fully qualified operators are available.
