What is a small scissor lift and
how would I use one?
A small scissor lift is an aerial platform designed to elevate workers and their equipment in a straight, vertical lift. Along with booms and low-level access, scissors are part of the range of powered access machines supplied by OMNIA ACCESS. MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) are flexible, cost-effective and, most importantly, a safe way of working at height, enabling the user to easily work on hard to reach areas.
Can be operated and used by one person- quick, efficient and easy to operate
Safer than ladders, steps and scaffolds- removes the need for dangerous overreaching
Can fit through standard doorways for indoor use
Non-marking tyres and zero emissions, ideal for use in shopping centres, hospitals, warehouses etc
Compact with collapsible handrails for easy manoeuvring and storage
Manual, push around lifts are also available. An even more environmentally friendly and economical option
Work can be carried out in a 360o radius from a safe and stable platform
Working loads up to 240kg- can lift a worker plus equipment and tools for a safer and more efficient way of working
Will last a full day without the need to recharge the batteries
